My forum doesn't send mail for user activation (I don't think send's mails at all)

I used smtp mail and the php mail but nothing..

any thoughts?

ok...I made the new file and I ran it, but the email was never send to my mail box...

Then this is a problem with your host. That test is not part of MyBB and if that won't run then your host is at fault.

Yes, but if it's not appearing in your inbox, then the email isn't being sent. As I've said, the test you ran isn't connected whatsoever to the MyBB install, which means your host is at fault.

Exactly, if it said it sent, but you didn't get it, it's a host issue. This test is completely separate from MyBB, so if it fails, it's nothing we can do anything about.
