Hello,

I had a weird problem while logging in. When i enter login details and hit "login", i still lands on the guest index page though i'm logged in. Again i need to click on index page or home buttom to show my status as logged in user.

Tried checking the "Login/Logout problems? PLEASE READ" sticky thread at support forums, but didnt solved.

I think a rewrite rule can do the work or by other means. People who are good at rewrite rules can give the suggestions please.

Here are my settings:
Forum is at subfolder in host root folder ---> public_html/forum/mybbinstalledfiles

.htaccess content at host root folder --->
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [L,R=301]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/board/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /board/$1 [L]

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://domain.com/board/.*$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://domain.com/board$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.domain.com/board/.*$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.domain.com/board$ [NC]
RewriteRule .*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp)$ - [F,NC]

need quick help please.
Im a total noob at this but it might be related to your cookie settings.
cookies setting is fine.

cookie: /board/
tried changing the board cookie to "/"
it doesnt allow to log out if i use only "/"
logging in fine, but only problem is, after logging in successfully, if we remove the forum path

www.domain.com/board/index.php ----removing forum path----> www.domain.com

shows us as guests even though we are logged in and if we click home page or index page, again it shows our status as logged in.

need any modification in the rewrite code to fix this?
after the first login and when we click on index page, we gets the status of logged in but when we clear cookies, the same login problem as stated in first post arises.
if we dont clear the cookies, we can logout and login without any problem just like usual login.
It's because the cookie is assigned to ./ and not ./board/. (Or the other way around) Why not just copy ./board/ over to root?
i just want to be in subfolder as i can add some more scripts around Wink

the rewrite is designed like that it hides the /board/ path from the url at most cases. so you can access board as www.domain.com/board/index.php or www.domain.com/index.php
both works.
Unless you want to rewrite some PHP, I'm pretty sure you can't do that. Well, you can, but people will have to login twice.
