I was referred here to request a plugin for MyBB, so here I am.
Is it possible for MyBB to recognize the stated gender of a user for the purposes of automatic promotions?
Basically what I'm trying to do is set it up so that if the user is female, the automatic promotion will give them a group image with a female flair, whereas the guys would get one with a male flair to it.
Is this possible?

Can the mod be adapted to show an image instead of the text? If so, how?
In the profile field or for the group in general?

To show an image in the postbits area in addition to their star rating.
To clarify, I mean in the vertical layout for a post, you would see:
USERNAME
User Title
Star Rating
Avatar
Custom Images Based On Automatic Promotion System
Post Count
Join Date
Reputation
Warning Level
Yes, you just have to set it to be from that group. Just use a rank image for that group.

Can MyBB be modified so that the specific rank image that shows up is dependent on the user's gender?
What I am wanting to do, for example, is create an automatic promotion system based on reputation. If a user reaches a reputation of 50, they are automatically promoted to the title of Hero (for guys) or Heroine (for the ladies), and the appropriate rank image will be displayed.
No it can't. You have to make a custom profile field and force it to users, once they pick male or female. Then they are moved to that group.
Then later on, when they get to that, they are automatically moved to the new groups once rep is reached.
Okay, I guess it's either that or create more gender-neutral rank images...
