Anyone got MyBB to work with sending mail through Exchange?

We are running MyBB on PHP 5.2.15 on IIS 7.5 and run Exchange 2007.

Enabling anonymous SMTP is out of the question.

I tried set up a mailbox and user for the email but then we get the following error:

I doubt that's posssible. I'd love to be proved wrong.

I haven't tried configuring that for Microsoft Exchange yet, although at first thought you could probably make use of http://glob.com.au/sendmail/ to relay the mail to your Exchange server.
