The gradients in the current 2.0 theme mockups are darkest part at the bottom. Smile

Was 2005 so either 1.x or a PR.

The one in the first post is PR2. The theme was updated as part of the 1.0 release.

That's probably just a glitch - it didn't change until 1.0 was released at the beginning of December 2005.
I hope you something unique for the header and footer for the new default theme. Maybe a few jQuery effects toSmile.

This could be a whole thread in itself but the default theme should be simple. jQuery effects, while good in moderation, should be added by the designer.

They'd be Prototype unless they want to use two frameworks.

I like IPB3's default theme, the glossy look is a little nicer than gradients.
