Just a suggestion, but I went to donate to MyBB right now and my instinct was to click on Get Involved but I didn't see anything under that tab. It might be a good place to include donation information...

Donating isn't getting involved imo.
Using the dev site, forums and submitting ideas is.

I can honestly see where he is coming from though. I think have the donate link on more than just the about page would be good personally.
