I'm running 4 VPS's and...

Frequently, only the first contact (i.e. new session) hangs, and then the other pages can be pretty fast even with some server load.**

Update! I got to looking at my task manager and I think I found the problem. I had several unused tasks running every 15 minutes and I even had two instances of RSS Reader (from the plugin) running every couple of minutes! I deleted unused tasks and edited a few others like mass mail to run once every 24 hours and BOOM! My forum is back to crazy fast!
