I've found out people can use HTML in Private Messages - how can this be disabled? ;/
In the private messaging option, HTML in PM's are disabled, but they still work!
Make sure ./inc/settings.php is CHMOD to 666 and then try saving the setting again, it works properly for me.
That didn't seem to work, It was already at 666.
That's odd. I've tried with test accounts, no luck.
URL and test account?? Have ou modified anything?? The settings definitely works...
I sent you a test PM. It is sending HTML markup. I'm sure your settings are not correct.
Go to: ACP > Configurations > Private Messaging > and click on "Yes" radio button again in "Allow HTML" option > save settings.
It should work.
I've done that. I've sent two test PM's with one on, then the other off. All to no avail.
Run File Verification in Tools & Maintenance.

It's fine, some just say changed, and some images missing.
