hi guys, have noticed another issue since we upgraded to 1.6.1

when you view a thread with more then 1 page, you can not get back to page 1

for example,
http://www.rabbitretreat.com/4-baby-boy-...246-2.html

if you click to go to page 1 it just reloads page 2

however if you go straight to page 1,
http://www.rabbitretreat.com/4-baby-boy-...-1246.html

it works and will let you go to page 2, but you then cant go back to page 1
Seems like an issue with Google SEO URLs. Try disabling it then testing to see if it works.
i disabled google SEO and it made no difference
You do have Google SEO installed, but those aren't Google SEO URLs.

Best proof for that is that your Google SEO sitemap http://www.rabbitretreat.com/sitemap-threads.xml?page=2, contains the original showthread.php?tid=123 style URLs.

So you are using a different plugin for SEO URLs, I assume Asad_Niazi/Spicefuse's SEO Links/MyBB SEO plugin. This plugin is old, buggy, never tested for MyBB 1.6, and there's been no sign of life of the author in 2 years now. And by sign of life I mean he's not visited this, or his own site (not while logged in anyway). Not sure what happened to him.

Anyhow, it seems this plugin is messing up multipage links for you. I recommend disabling the other SEO plugin. If you want the thread subject in the URL, you can use Google SEO for that - if you don't, that's fine too. Whichever URL style you choose, as long as you keep the Spicefuse SEO rewrite rules in your .htaccess, the old URLs won't be broken, but redirected properly to the new URLs (if you enable Google SEO Redirect).
i would like the urls to stay as they are, but im not sure how you mean to do that?

could i maybe have a step by step guide for a dummy?

it all worked fine on 1.6.0 lol

Then you'll probably have to fix the plugin / debug the issue directly in the forum, I can't help you with that.

Google SEO can not emulate the Spicefuse SEO URL style, and even if it could the URLs would change either way. But changing URLs does not mean breaking them. They can be redirected. So there's a way out for you if you want to take it.

Spicefuse SEO didn't work fine back in 1.4, that's why I made Google SEO...

Good luck.
