I am upgrading a forum from 1.6 to 1.6.1 but after replacing the changed files it says that..

MyBB has experienced an internal error and cannot continue.

Error Type:
MyBB Error (42)
Error Message:
Your board has not yet been upgraded. Please do so before attempting to browse it.

Whats the problem? How to fix it?

You need to run the upgrade yoursite.com/install/upgrade.php

For some reason its not running.

remove your lock file from install folder

What do you mean by 'its not running'...?? We need more information than that to be able to help.
