phpbb and vb have a mod that allows you to take events or up and comming items from your calandar and adding them to the main index page.

I know birthdays if taken, but is there any or can there be a mod that allows you to select things like the next 10 events etc and have them shown up on the index page..

Just like us for a motorsport site it would be a great help to advertise up and comming events etc..

that seems to just add a calendar to the side box...
example I'm after is like this

Upcoming Events for the Next 30 Day(s)
13 Jan 2011: Autosport International
14 Jan 2011: Autosport International
15 Jan 2011: Autosport International
16 Jan 2011: Autosport International
29 Jan 2011: Donington Rescue Training

As it is a requested plugin, it will be paid.

(currently still has issues with repeating events though, if you're using those)

prostats probably does too, not sure

there should be several plugins that do this around already
