Background

Based off the vBulletin plugin with the same name, toonysnn since ported EzIRC to XenForo (xf plugin link). I asked if I could port it over to other forum softwares such as MyBB and he agreed.

What exactly IS EzIRC?
EzIRC is supposed to be a simple yet effective IRC chat modification for MyBB. This version is for 1.x of MyBB, and supports mibbit javascript applet.

^^ yes, auto assinging of their forum account username when logging into irc.
That's exactly what it does.
Looks cool to me. I've used IRC with boards in the past and it works a lot better due to the many available clients.
thank you very much, madmikeyb Smile

Yep, that and the fact that if your board is down or closed, irc is up.

$forumdir is invalid!
why?
and how to fix it?

We fixed this over IRC, but for anyone else who is interested, here is this solution:

From the readme.txt

Quote:To install;
Unzip archive
Upload inc to your forums root, overwriting "inc".
Edit chat.php with the correct forumpath (search for $forumdir, at the top).
Upload chat.php to your forums root (or website root if you prefer)
Configure the options in your MyBB admincp
Visit yoursite.com/yourforum/chat.php (where you uploaded chat.php) to start chatting.

Smile

You need to edit chat.php to include your forumpath.
