Did it show to guests as well?? if it's showing to every user, on every page, it'll be adding a lot of load, your forum doesn't have to be very big for it to have an effect.

Did what you told me to do Jesse and now i fuc*ed up my AdminCp.
I shouldn't but did the settings.php with notepad and this is what i
get in my admin cp now.. and it asks me for my password every damn
thing i click in that section, but i was able to deactivate the shoutbox.

And no the shoutbox was just showing to registered members.. i have been using it on another
forum i used to run and never had this problem before.

You sorta have to show the whole error for us to know what's wrong.

Who told you to use notepad to edit? And that error is because you have whitespace on the top of the file.

only space i see on top of that file is under that part

There should be no space before <?php

Spaces or lines...

no space or lines at all before that bracket..

It's not like you never got admin access to my board before.
I only trust a few guys with this and you are one of them :o)

Your "notepad" must have inserted an invisible UTF8 BOM set of characters, at the beginning of the file...

You will need to use a proper code editor to erase them...

exdiogene already fixed it for me, thanks Rej, i will do my best not to make that stupid mistake again, i usually make backups of things i edit, but not that time...
