ok so on my site i have a forum with instrustion on moderation, i have it set so only mods can see it, however every once I'll see the google bot on my site and for some reson it can view that forum. Is it possable to make it so the bot has the same permisstions as a normal user?

Well i'm not sure that will help but try to make a robot.txt in ur root of the board that includes

 
User-agent: *
Disallow: /forumdisplay.php?fid=X

X should be the id of that forum.

Try it and revert back.
