When I go on the plugins bit in ACP I get this message:
Direct access to this location is not allowed
I've not done anything

That doesn't seem to be a MyBB language string, can you printscreen it?? What plugins do you have??
Are you the main admin or an appointed admin as if you are not main admin you may have been denied access to the plugins.
What was the last plugin you uploaded ? Upload the file here.
Can you list your plugins...?? This'll be coming from a plugin file, as they're all included when you load the plugins page, and this language string isn't coming from default MyBB.
I've not installed a plugin for months though....
How should I list the plugins? Is there an easy way as I can't access the list
I've fixed the issue, whilst noting down all the plugin names I found a file I didn't recognise so I removed it and it worked.

You may want to check your security, if there was a file you didn't recognize someone may have access.
