I've run

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `mybb_posts` WHERE 1

query and am told there are 563620 tables (posts). However in the forum itself, most users after logging in (after the conversion from punBB 1.2 -> MyBB latest) have reported having their post-counts drastically cut.

There are also ~45-60% of the threads that go nowhere (result in a "Specified thread not found." text.

What can I do to alleviate this issue. To reconnect the users with the posts that are obviously in the database, but not being seen on the forum front-end.

have you done the recount and rebuild thing in the tools & maintaince in the acp?
