Hey, you know how it's got different background colours for alternating posts, how do I change it so there's different font colours for alternating posts?

umm in the theme manager , edit Alternative Row 2

That I do. I tried that, it only sets the profile information on the left when setting the font colour. I thought that would of fixed it, too.
ok we will do something, just not to edit the css classes that are using on other place in the board
in the
Admin CP > Templates > Modify / Delete > Expand > Postbit templates > postbit
find
<p>$post[message]</p>
replace with
<p><font color="#FFFFFF">$post[message]</font></p>
chane #fffff to the color you want.
