I recently moved our gaming clan over from phpbb3 to mybb. Overall, the features of mybb work great!

We are running the latest mybb (1.6.1) and everything seems to be working as intended.


One major issue though is that our gaming clan wears their tags on their name everywhere, including the forum. For example: [BBF]Paco

Mybb doesn't handle square brackets in quotes properly because it tries to close the quote with the last square bracket which appears in the username.

Our clan has been gaming since 2000 and I don't want to just have all users remove their tags.

It wasn't fixed as I believe it'd require a rewrite of the parser. If you want though, make a ticket on http://dev.mybb.com and it can be discussed again.
