I have this nice skin for my forum which I really would prefer not to have to recreate. We're upgrading the forum from 1.4 to 1.6 (hopefully), and I was wondering how backwards-compatible it is, and how much I'd have to change to make it work on 1.6. Any pointers/guides?
When upload the theme theres a "Ignore Version Compatibility" check box
If the theme is already installed when you upgrade MyBB should automatically add most of the stuff added in 1.6. I think it also does this when importing a 1.4 theme as well, but I'm not 100% sure. At worst you'll have to copy a couple of images to your theme's folder, and maybe copy the extra CSS to the theme yourself (it's not too hard).
