I have been trying for probably an hour or so to figure out what's going wrong, I've gotten my self set-up with MyBB and I've registered a non-admin account, but I can't login. and if I go to /admin I can log in and look at the settings, but when I change them and hit "save changes" they revert back to what they were before I changed them.
any suggestions would be welcome, I've never set up a forum before and I'd like to make the first time the best time.

and I can't change my cookie settings because I can't change ANY settings.
I'm on the same network as the server and the router we have doesn't do loopback, so I don't know if that is the problem.

I have no idea why you've changed your Board URL and cookie domain to an IP address, why did you do that??
that's what happen to my board after installation what i did is go to cpanel>admin (dir)>click index.php it will take you to the admin dashboard, then you can edit your cookie to make you login to your site....
You won't be able to stay logged in if your settings are wrong, and accessing the admin file via cPanel isn't going to work...
@KittenCollision In ./inc/settings.php, change your Cookie Domain to invizions.shacknet.nu and then clear your browser cookies, login to the ACP, and now change the cookie domain again, as well as changing your Board URL to

well, I can't look at my own forum now, so I don't know if it works, is there a way to remedy this?
I can see the forum perfectly, try clearing your cache and cookies again.
You have an index.html file in the root folder for some reason, it contains something about 'Mumble'... delete that index.html file, your forum is here:

what I'm saying is that I can't get loopback, which makes it impossible to use cookies that work with both inner IP and outer IP
