Hi guys

First post here so a bit hello.

MyBB looks great and am absolutely dying to get started. Thing is I have no idea how to install it on my mac with mamp.

I've followed all the setups I can find on this subject but to be honest none really cover how to do it with Mac-Mamp.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to do it..? Like I say the ones Ive found so far are not very clear.

Thanks guys.
Unfortunately we can't provide exact instructions for every single server setup possible... do you know where the htdocs folder is after you've installed MAMP?? Personally I'd recommend XAMPP over MAMP.

Hi

Yeh I've located htdocs as I've recently installed wordpress on there.

May I ask does mybb work in a similar sort of way...?
Yeah, it's exactly the same. Create a folder called mybb or something in the htdocs folder, then upload the contents of the Upload folder (not the Upload folder itself) from the MyBB download into that folder. Then you'd need to create a new database in phpMyAdmin, and then install MyBB by going to http://localhost/mybb/install/index.php (or it might be http://localhost:8888/mybb/install/index.php).
Thankyou Matt

I'm gonna crack on with it tommorow as its past midnight here, Ill let you know how I get on tommorow.

Cheers man
