Ah! Yes! Why not? I am a coder myself and I could use a couple functions for my forum that are relatively simple but unavailable in the plugins database.

Oh, but I have too little experience with html and php. No worries, I'll learn.

So, once I know a decent amount of html, php (and working with MySQL), what shall my next step be? Is there a tutorial for plugin authors, to get the hang of things?

Obviously everything else will be up to gathering experience, but heck, I'd like to hear what you got to say =D
I've been meaning to write a tutorial on plugins and possibly ACP modules. The documentation is pretty lacking.
I saved these links, but I don't know if they are still relevant.
