1) Fresh MyBB 1.1.2 installation
2) Sign in to forum(Mozilla)
3) Sign in to AdminCP (Mozilla)
4) Open IE
5) Sign in to forum(IE)

So your saying that it should already show that your logged in when you open IE?

When you put your mouse over the links to view the profile, do both have the same user id? (uid)
I'm thinking you (maybe) clicked refresh during a step in the installation and have therefore ended up with two users with the same username.
Yeah, one has a uid of 1 and one has a uid of 2, kinda odd
