Since I use the mybb forum (converted from phpbb2 plus) I get every day about 10 emails with always the same contend.

In my opinion:

The older phpbb forum was often attacked by anyone there are a lot of people how want to destroy less used forums like my forum. I think that this e-mails are the sign of some hacking tries.

I had opend a case with the same issue, the guy told me that this was fixed with release 1.6.1, no I am online with 1.6.1 since about 2 months, have to tried to send the guy a PM but no answer, also no new answer at my old thread

You could have just bumped your old thread, but nevermind... turns out this wasn't fixed in 1.6.1 for some reason, but is still on the list of things to be fixed.

It is also not fixed with 1.6.2....

Because 1.6.2 was a security release, not a maintenance release.

Still exists with 1.8.3
