Hey, I'm new here, but I think this is the right place to post this problem.
I seem to be having an error on my forums. We're running MyBB version 1.6.1. Now, I'm not exactly sure what to call this problem. What happens is that, twice now, some sort of timing device glitched somehow. For example: The forum time says Feb 06, 3:59PM, but in 1 minute, the clock changes to Feb 06, 11:00PM, rather than the proper time of 4:00PM. This time-leap lasts for several hours, the clock continuing to progress so that it even lists the date has changed over to the next day. This means that many posts that should have been posted on the evening of Feb 06 are listed as having been posted early in the morning on Feb 07. After several hours, the clock somehow realizes that it's not actually Feb 07, and reverts back to the true time. But, any posts that happen after this reversion are inserted in "chronological" order, meaning in the order that their time-stamps list they should go. Since the posts actually happened 7 hours before the time-stamp says they did, though, this is in reality the incorrect order.
As an administrator at the forums, I haven't personally received any error messages about this issue; however, once these time-leaps are over, many of the members complain that they are unable to post/send private messages until upwards of 20,000 seconds have gone by (roughly averaging at about 7 hours). These error messages are what have notified us of the problems in the first place. What we've done is turned off the flood-detection so that the members may still send PM's and post in threads, but this is only a short-term solution.
I hope that wasn't too confusing... In any case, the forum is located here. If there's any other information you'd need, I'd be happy to comply. This problem is quite a nuisance, and I'd really appreciate anyone's help with the matter.
Thank you very much.
