any idea where i might find one?

Please note that i want my guest to be able to close the alert,i want to customize the alert , and pop-up on the portal and/or forums.

I'm sorry but I can't find the yellow bar...maybe you can show me a screnshot.... Are you refering to InfoBar?

but it has some problems... guests can't close this....

Its there now.

I still can't see it.

I've seen this "pop-up" in many forums (not mybb).... so any help ?

Why would you want to do this? It will not help drive traffic nor will it push more people to register. When a website pulls something as annoying as this, I immediately leave the site, and a lot of others do the same.

If you're adamant about this, I'd simply add a little "Close" link with a line of JavaScript to hide the parent.
