Ok here is the error I keep getting:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/25/d157505673/htdocs/mybb/inc/class_core.php on line 18

Your host is still running an old version of PHP 4.4, and MyBB 1.6 requires PHP 5.1. You'll need to contact your host about this issue.
