I am looking to implement a RSVP system for threads in a certain forum. Basically, each time someone posts a thread in this forum, it adds an option to the first post to click "Yes", "No" or "Maybe". A list of users that clicked each option is then shown below the first post in the thread.

Is there already anyway of doing this? Or will I need to look into developing it myself?

A preliminary version could just use a poll which is automatically added to all new threads. Is there a way to automatically add a poll to a thread with default options?

You may want to look at Tomm's Custom Post reputation plugin over at Xekko. Its part of the way there I think. Be aware - you need to install MyNetwork for it. I am not sure if that plugin is a subscribers only one.

Thanks. There is a cost for that though so it's not an option for me.
