Admittedly, I am am in over my head...but I thought this would be easier.
I have uploaded the themes images to images/ file via FTP.....and now my page (thankfully just a test page) looks like a joke...what am I doing wrong?

Not sure how....and even if I did....not sure how to apply it.
Go to Acp>Templates & Styles>Import Style> browse to the .xml file for the style, change name if you'd like and press import theme
I did that...makes noo changes to the site.... :-( I must be doing something wrong.....
I tried starting over from scratch....without any new themes....just what MyBB starts you with...and STILL it looks like holy hell.

Can anyone offer some insight as to why my forum looks like this before I have even been able to do anything? I thought the CHMOD settings were not right..but this time I double checked...and all were set properly.

I did not do this ((you must rename config.default.php to config.php first)....would that have impacted the whole install so drasticlly?
I figured it out...I had to change the permissions on the folders (kind of lame)....that said...I am trying to import new themes....and not one of them work. I am putting the folder (i.e. images/thecure) and only a few images show up on the page.
