Hi everyone, I just added a new moderator for the first time.

Is there any information I should be sure to pass on to the new moderator? Are there any threads with moderator "best practices"?

I would like to give him some helpful info.

Show them how to use moderator tools, what you don't want them to do (delete posts ect.), how to deal with troublesome members and so on.

It would also be a good idea to make a private Moderator forum.

That way Administrators and forum Moderators can go there to discuss anything about what is going on and etc.

You should just tell them what you expect them to do, and tell them about the things you think they should know.
