How do I make it so that users cannot send private messages until x amount of posts?

What I would do, is when users first register put them in say a "New Members" usergroup, which does not have private messaging permissions. Once they hit x number of posts, move them automatically into the "Members" usergroup which has private messaging permissions. Hope that helps!

Is there any way for them to automatically be moved into that group? Or would I have to manually do it?

Create a new "Group Promotion". Users & Groups > Group Promotions > Add New Promotion

I can upgrade it if you needed it for specific users or usergroups or both.
