I'm still using 1.4.11. To those of you that have upgraded to 1.6, was it worth it?

Yes, it's a lot better imo.
Only thing I can think of that would stop you from upgrading is if your site relies heavily on some plugins that haven't been updated for 1.6.

No, you can go straight from 1.4.11 to 1.6.1. If you make sure you have a full database and file backup, you'll be fine.
