How to downgrade 1.6 to 1.2 ? Blush Wish i never upgrade my 1.2 Confused
Why not reinstall the 1.2 and download it here http://resources.mybbcommunity.com/releasearchive.php (choose the version) and merge it if possible Smile
Why downgrade. Mybb 16.1 works very fine

grtz
1.2 is very unsecure now and has lots of vulnerabilites, I would highly suggest you don't do this, besides it would be overally complicated to do so.
Not only can you not downgrade without losing a load of data, but we've not support 1.2 here for like a year and a half, you'd be on your own in using it. What exactly went wrong when upgrading to 1.6...??
Assuming this is your site (http://synthd.com/forums/)

It looks like you have simply not installed it correctly.

Error Message: The install directory (install/) still exists on your server and is not locked. To access MyBB please either remove this directory or create an empty file in it called 'lock'.
Information: This occurs when, as the error says your 'install' folder is still present, or has not been locked. To solve this error, either completely delete the ./install/ folder, or create an empty file in it called 'lock'. MyBB requires you to remove or lock this folder, so nobody can run the installation or upgrade script, and corrupt or erase your database with it.

What's been going on since you upgraded to 1.6?
You wanted to downgrade from 1.6 to 1.2 just because it says the install folder still exists...?? o.O
