Hi everyone,

I got this message when I try to migrate my website server to another. After I re-uploaded everything. I got this message:

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
Query:
[READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server

ANY IDEAS OF HOW TO FIX THIS?Huh

You'll need to ask your host about this error, there's an issue with the MySQL server.

It is ok! They don't host the sQL server at localhost. Issue fixed. Thanks!

It's not even your support thread... and if the MySQL server setting was wrong in config.php, you'd get a totally different error. This error is caused by the MySQL server being down or otherwise inaccessible for some reason or another.
