hi guys

trying to install myBB i came up with that problem

i do not know the database host of my base
it is sql11 according to my hosting company
but this does not work
nor does the localhost

any idea what could be the database ip? how could i get it (asking my host would take a while, they are slow in answering questions)

ps : database username and name is the same, that's not an error

We cannot say what the database IP is. You have to ask your host.

You can find all the details, whether in the 1st message they send you, or from the control panel they have.

However you can try with theirdomain.com , i mean you host company domain name .

Remember this error yet get doesn't necessary mean that your host name is wrong, it might be the username and password used to connect. so make sure you are using the correct assigned username and password, who has the full Privilege.

Usually it's "localhost" (without the quotations), but as Michael said, it depends on your host.
