Hey there,

Thanks for any help I get here. Currently we are having 50+ accounts registered daily by some sort of spam bots. All the accounts registered match against the StopForumSpam website but the plugin is outdated and no longer works properly as it was designed for 1.4.

I pruned all the spambots and we went from 2500+ users to 300. However I don't want to have to go deleting members daily.

Any solutions?

Have you got the Akismet plugin installed? If not, install it (it comes with MyBB). Also, try reCaptcha and Fassim Anti-Spam.

by the way what do they get by doing this?

I'm using Fassim and is working well, is a great plugin !

Nothing. They register, about 2 every week post some spam, then nothing...

Akismet wasn't activated so I've activated that now, thanks.

Have you installed Akismet, Fassim and reCAPTCHA II?
