I feel rather embarassed about asking this question, but anyway. I recently uploaded myBB to a folder ( /forum ) on my server. I went through the installation instructions until I reached the database name, which I don't know. Everything has made the requirement check. What my question is:

Say my host is host.webhosting.com , my user name is user123, what would the database name be? user123.webhosting.com doesn't work.

you have to sign into cpanel, and under MySQL you need to create a username, password and database to assign them to.

or for some hosts, that doesn't use cpanel, the databases uses the same name and password of the account, but u still have to create one from the panel they provide.
