Well i decided not to go with a standard star image for my forum just want to know which is the better 1.

i personally prefer the second as it seems to have a smoother edge.
What are you thoughts.

TBH I don't much like either of them. They both took me a moment to realize they were dogs. You should try something a bit more cartoony, they typically are easier to see at these smaller sizes due to their simplicity.

I remember when you had those as your forum icons, I find them rather amusing and laugh every time I see them

As mentioned above though, I'd go with something a little clearer and less cut-and-paste looking.

Well i wanted to stick with the labrador theme as that is what the forum is about.

What do people think of the gold bones

That would look good, just desaturat and add a silver color for the off/hover part.
