Hi I have a forum on myBB 1.4 and I want to transfer all the users and threads to the latest myBB 1.6

How do I do that?

I already installed the fresh copy of mybb 1.6 in a separate directory.

The old forum is located at http://www.impulsepk.co.cc the new one is http://www.imtiax.net

You don't need to install 1.6 fresh, you just need to run the upgrade script: [Wiki: Upgrading] (Broken link, head over to docs.mybb.com instead)

Make sure you have file and database backups, and that you deactivate all plugins first.

I already tried that and it didn't work. Most of my plugins on impulsepk.co.cc are incompatible with 1.6 and I keep getting errors when I Try to db import

You don't need to import a database backup at any stage in the upgrade process, and most plugins just need the compatibility changing from 14* to 16* in the file.
