This might sound stupid but where actually is my 'index' file?

According to the Changuondyu chatbox, I have to add {$changfcb} under {$header}. However, I can't find an index file with {$header} in.

Help?

Your index file is index.php but what you need is the index template, which you find in the ACP. ACP > Templates & Style > Templates > **expand template set for theme** > Index page Templates > index.
