How to change standard thread list in list of first post of threads? Something like portal announcement.

I'm pretty sure this would require a plugin... I haven't seen a way to do this before, but someone else may reply soon. Possibly they know. Otherwise, post in the plugin requests forum, and see if someone could help you out there.
so, this is too complicated. maybe it is easier to take post message from DB and put it under author of thread in threadlist?
please, help me with it!
