Hi,

I have downloaded and installed myBB on my host. I keep getting that 2013 error, so I contacted my host, they need to know the following information to fix the problem:

1. Systems Requirements (detailed as possible)
2. MySQL settings, (configuration, libraries of possible
3. PHP settings

I was unable to find these on your site.

well i'm not sure how to tell, as these things are basic (from their side)

All the basic things needed should let mybb function, there is nothing special.

the error 2013 is mainly conerned with Lost connection to MySQL server during query. so it seems like the thread_cache_size or wait_time_out.
should be increased.

MyBB requires PHP of version greater than (or equal to) 4.1, mysql connections/functions, and XML parser. It also needs read/write permissions to files (duh?).
That all boils down to a standard, shared, web hosting package

But as Zaher said, it's a hosting/mysql fault rather than MyBB.

Generally if the installer (when you run it) says there are no problems, MyBB will work fine on your server.
