I'm trying to install MyBB. All files are set to 777. However, after starting install.php the following message occurs:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/2/d93205091/htdocs/spss_forum/Upload/inc/class_core.php on line 18

need some help. thanks

From other users experiencing this error, it seems it's because you need PHP 5.1+ for MyBB. What host are you using?

thank you. Yes, it it's a problem with my php-version (4. something). After upgrading to PHP Version 5.2.17 everything works fine.
