Hi all,

My forum can now be accessed by guests, but I don't see in admin area any mention of bots such as google, yahoo and alexa.

I want to lock my forum so only members can view the thread contents and not guests. I know how to do this.

But I also want these threads to rank in google, so I need to give the bots permission but shut off guests.

How do I do this?

By default bots are in the guests group, they're treated exactly the same as guests, but you can change their group in the setting for each bot in the Spiders / Bots section of the Configuration area in the ACP. However, blocking access to things to guests but allowing bots to see them is called cloaking, and if Google find out you're doing it, which they do, they'll just severely lower your rankings.
