Hi,

This really is starting to annoy me, not sure what to do here but my site is giving the following error message:

Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

* Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

According to my host, it's a software problem, i.e. MyBB, which I think is a load of rubish, here's what my host said:

Quote:Hello George,

I'm very sorry, but we do not provide website development services. We are happy to answer all support and technical questions related to service itself, but we only provide web hosting services, and we do not experience in building websites, it would take a lot of administrative work time. We prefer spending this time to keep our service in perfect condition.

However, you can always ask for support and assistance from software developers (so you will get much more detailed information), if you get any errors, you may query search engines for it and it's a big possibility that someone already found solution for such problem.

By the way, if you get any error messages, please copy paste them here and we will try to find a fix for you.

I will be pleased to answer any additional questions you may have.

I don't think it's MyBB that's causing that, but aparently it is.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Edit: The error log is showing this:
[Tue Mar 08 02:37:03 2011] [error] [client *IP Hidden*] client denied by server configuration: /home/thediscu/public_html/.htaccess
Could you post the contents of your .htaccess file please?
.htaccess is empty.
Strange. I'm fairly sure this is a host issue. Try reading this though: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/httpd-clien...iguration/ I'm assuming your host is using CentOS of course.
