Hi there,

I am doing some homework for the upgrade planned at the week-end. The instructions on your site say as follows:

Quote:If your upgrade requires the upgrade script:

1. Go to www.yourdomain.com/forumfolder/install/upgrade.php, replacing 'yourdomain.com' with your actual URL. If your forum is not in its own folder, then remove forumfolder/ from the URL.

however I cannot find anything when I try the website as indicated above.

My site is
www.autosvezzamento.it

Thanks a lot.

A.
If the install folder is in your root directory, you would run http://www.autosvezzamento.it/install/upgrade.php. Is this what you've been trying? Have you confirmed that there is a file called "upgrade.php" in the install folder?

Hi there,

thanks for that. At least now I see something.

Next question, no prizes for guessing... where do I find
./install folder.

Gosh, this is turning into a full time jobSad

Thanks a lot for all your help.

./install folder is in your forum's root. Like http://www.autosvezzamento.it/forum/install <-- There is your install folder.

Hi,

I had tried that, but I got:
Quote:Error
The installer is currently locked, please remove 'lock' from the install directory to continue
Go to: CPanel > File Manager > public_html > forum > install > and delete "lock" file from there.
Hem... CPanel?

Cpanel is your hosting control panel.

Cpanel is your hosting control panel.

My feeling exactlySmile

The problem is that I didn't set it up (and the person who did was only slightly more clued up...).

Where is the cpanel located? I tried to go to the admin panel, but no joy SadSad
