How do I make my proportal as homepage, I remember seeing a thread on this but can't find it anymore...

Add to .htaccess:

DirectoryIndex portal.php index.php index.html index.htm

Why use a plugin when you can just use DirectoryIndex?

Using the above plugin will redirect users only once they arrive each day, however DirectoryIndex redirects them on each visit.

Yeah, but if they want the portal as a homepage, then directoryIndex would be best imo.
