Everyone hates new users who join a forum and their first 5 posts are new annoying threads. What if we made it so your accounts has to be X days old? This will stop both spam bots and newbies who lower the quality of the forum. This is a great idea. Perhaps there could be a text box in the ACP where you can put forum IDs to say where to exclude this, such as the Introduction section.

Great idea.

This plugin will allow you to set in ACP the amount of posts a user must have before they can post a new thread, along with several other restriction options, i could easily implement a time limit if needed, although, bare in mind this is a paid plugin: http://www.mybbextras.com/showthread.php?tid=388
Sure, I'll buy a life time membership but that plugin doesn't really help that much. If I see a plugin that I want, I'll buy.

Edit: Sry, its a time limit you what rather than user post count ?

Oh right lol, i also have a plugin to do this: http://www.mybbextras.com/showthread.php?tid=829
No need for a plugin. That's something you can solve easily with MyBB's built-in group promotion and group permissions.
