Hi,

I was just moving files to my USB drive when I accidentally deleted all of those files. The USB drive had a single folder with all my files, and I wanted to move the files inside the folder to the root of the USB drive. I selected all of the files and right-clicked Copy. I then deleted the folder which was in the root and right-clicked Paste. I instantly found out that wouldn't work. I was able to paste the shortcuts though, but obviously they lead nowhere because the files are gone.

I even checked the Recycle Bin in the hope to restore them and they were not there. I guess files from external drives are deleted permanently. Is there another way to recover the files that were on my USB drive? Luckily the most important ones were stored somewhere else but I quite need the other ones. And if it matters I haven't removed the USB drive since I deleted the files.

Thanks.
Try this tool, that i found on Google.

I don't know if it will help.
Thank you. I normally would have done some research on my own, but since the files involved are a bit delicated I wanted to be sure on how to do it rather than going on a trial & error adventure.

I downloaded and ran that tool and it did found the lost files, I'm not able to save them though as the demo version is quite limited.

dude, why????
Because I wanted to move the files inside it to the root of the USB drive, and I thought that by clicking Copy it would still be able to Paste the files even after deletion.

Thank you, Recuva worked perfectly. I was able to recover all the files. Much appreciated.

Also, who the hell right clicks to copy/paste? Use CTRL + C/V.
