How did you do it in the other thread then..?

I click the file and clicked "edit". I try do same thing it says "Loading Text editor" then nothing happens.
You have to use the Code Editor.
Same thing...

I'l pick this up today it 2.06 am here so ye I'm tired.
Okay, well go get some rest. And, when you come back to it make sure you are clicking the code editor, not just the editor. It has to say code editor, though it is beside the editor.

Smile
Still won't load..... Will ask my host.
Or you could just run a query to reset your password... run this:

UPDATE `mybb_users` SET `password` = '098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6', `salt` = '' WHERE `uid` = '1';

Change the 1 to your UID if it isn't 1. This will reset your password to test, then you can login as normal.
Wow I just did the same thing on mine,

I got bord with the forum so I left the forum closed for a week or so then had'nt wrote the pass in my desktop book.

I was lucky I had created an online folder on my desktop mybb and it was in that...gone to the hardback book now.
